Sell, Gift, Donate, or Store with Better Information
A documented collection is easier to understand, protect, divide, offer for sale, share with family, donate to institutions, insure, or place in storage.
Art Legacy Exchange
Art Legacy Exchange is a private online collection review and placement area where selected works can be organized for possible sale, gifting, donation, or transfer to new caretakers.
Many collectors, artists, and families want to know what may have resale value before they begin giving things away. Arts Rescue Mission can help identify which pieces may be appropriate to offer for sale, which works should be documented more carefully, and which pieces may be better suited for family selection, donation, or gifting.

Registered users may list selected artworks from a collection that is being downsized, moved, inherited, reorganized, or prepared for storage. Works can be presented with photographs, assigned numbers, and available information such as artist, title, date, medium, size, condition, and provenance.
Some works may be offered for sale when appropriate. Others may be made available to family members, friends, associates, museums, schools, nonprofits, or institutions that may have an interest in preserving them. The goal is to help collections move forward with care, rather than disappear into storage or be dispersed without records.
Listings are generally available for a limited two-week review period to keep the process clear and efficient. After consultation, Arts Rescue Mission can help determine which pieces may need fuller documentation, which may have market or historical value, and which can simply be numbered for easier family or friend selection.
Not every object needs full cataloging. Some collections only need a practical inventory and photographs. Others may require more detailed identification before decisions are made about sale, donation, gifting, storage, or future estate planning.
Art Legacy Exchange is intended as a practical resource for helping art find its next home while preserving the collection’s value, history, and legacy.
